Why should you have your brand photos taken outside?

Why is having brand photos taken outdoors a good idea?

Brand photography is such a versatile tool for businesses and one of my favourite things about it is how different it can be for each brand. Your brand photos should be taken in places that make sense for your business and that help tell your story, which is often your workspace. 

But there are so many benefits for taking images outside, even if it's just one or two quick snaps… 

It helps your audience relate to your business - If your audience can relate to you and your business they are so much more likely to connect and become a customer. They want to see that you experience the same things as they do, so if your brand images are all indoors, or all taken in the winter, they're not going to create that connection if they're soaking up a heatwave.

You get to take advantage of the gorgeous light that summer brings - Natural light is AMAZING! It's the most flattering and easily available light, and summer sunshine brings a lovely warmth to it, especially at golden hour, just before sunset. 

You can get such a variety of images - The outdoors is such a versitile place. No matter what your business is, there'll be an area outdoors that you can relate to and that will align with your business and values whether thats deep in the country side, searching out graffiti in the city, splashing your toes in the sea, or relaxing in your garden. And within each place there'll be so many options you can use as beautiful backdrops!

It's proven to boost your mood! It's proven that being outdoors can help you feel more relaxed and boost your mood, and when you're feeling good that will show in your photographs! Looking at photographs taken within nature can also have positive effects on your mood so not only will you be feeling good, but you'll help boost your audience's mood too!
