I first met Steff and Dan in a bank, of all places. They happened to be looking for a wedding photographer and I happened to be one. After them taking a look at my website, I remember getting an email from them which read - "We've just read your get to know me info on your website, and Dan said 'she sounds like you, Doctor Who and all!". I think it's safe to say, from that moment, we knew we'd get on perfectly.
For their pre wedding shoot we decided to meet up at their wedding venue, the lovely Thornton Hall Hotel and Spa. It was my first visit to Thornton Hall Hotel so it was great to get to know the surroundings before the big day.
So what are your thoughts on pre wedding shoots
I know the thought of a pre wedding shoot makes people nervous. These guys were no exception. The shoot was filled with fits of giggles and trying to avoid the camera. And that's okay! It's kind of the point of a pre wedding shoot! The shoot is there to be like a practice run, because once you've done something once, it's not as big a deal next time. So on the wedding day, if you do happen to spot me taking photographs, you'll think - 'no big deal, I've done this before'.

I thought we were in for an awful day for this shoot - when I left the house it had just started to snow and was super windy and cold. But thankfully, when we were at Thornton Hall Hotel, we managed to grab half an hour of dry weather. Rain or snow doesn't immediately mean a pre wedding shoot needs to be cancelled, but most of the time I find couples are more relaxed when they don't have to worry about getting soaked!
